Modern Flight Gallery To Be Painted

Visitors will be unable to access portions of the Modern Flight Gallery at the National Museum of the United States Air Force due to scheduled painting of the gallery's ceiling between Dec. 8 and Feb. 14.

From Dec. 8 until Jan. 14, the north end of the building will be closed. Visitors will be unable to view Southeast Asia War aircraft, including the B-52B, T-28B, F-100F, A-1E, A-7D, EB-57B, YF-5A, B-26K, RF-101C, O-1G, O-2A, OV-10A, HH-43B, CH-3E, UH-1P, MiG-21F, C-123K, F-105D, C-7A, F-4C, F-4 sit-in cockpit, U-10D, AQM-34Q, QU-22B, F-111A, RB-66B, A-37, EC-121D, MiG-17F, SA-2 missile and F-105G.

From Jan. 14-26, the center portion of the building will be closed. Visitors will be unable to view some of the museum's aircraft, including the F-22A, Predator, Global Hawk, Bird of Prey, Wright Modified B Flyer, XH-26, XV-3 and Avrocar.

From Jan. 27 until Feb. 14, the south end of the building will be closed. Visitors will be unable to view Korean War aircraft, including the F-86A, MiG-15, F-94A, YH-5A, UH-19B, F-82B, B-26C, B-29 walk-through fuselage, T-6D, B-45C, C-124C, F-80C, PQ-14B, L-17A, F-84E and RF-86F. -- www.nationalmuseum.af.mil
