Holiday Gifts Collected At Actors Theatre

Through its association with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services' Department for Community Based Services, Actors Theatre of Louisville is once again sponsoring a holiday gift collection for area foster youth in need.

Over the past 30 years, Actors patrons have helped brighten the holiday for many children who normally might not receive gifts.

According to officials at the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Actors Theatre patrons represent one of the largest single sources of gifts for this yuletide program.

Gifts are being accepted at the theatre complex at 316 West Main St. from November 26 through December 23, during the run of the annual holiday productions of the family classic Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol (November 26 - December 23) and the adult comedy A Tuna Christmas, sponsored by Texas Roadhouse (through January 4).

Presents should be wrapped and include a securely attached card, which indicates the appropriate age of the child and whether the gift is for a boy or a girl. This year the department has identified a particular need for gifts for teens. Donated gifts should be placed under the 30-foot tall Christmas tree in the theatre’s Sara Shallenberger Brown Lobby. -- www.actorstheatre.org
