The music and style of the legendary queen of blue eyed soul Dusty Springfield will be celebrated by Katy Setterfield at the Queen’s Theatre in Barnstaple on Saturday 29th November.
Singer and musician Katy was the deserved winner of the BBC’s tribute act talent show The One and Only performing as Dusty at the beginning of 2008. Her prize was a three month contract in Las Vegas performing in the Legends stage show that she completed to great acclaim last spring.
For eight years Katy put her amazing vocal talents to good use as a member of the nation’s favourite rock ‘n’ roll touring show That’ll Be The Day. As well as Dusty, she took on the roles of Cher, Tina Turner, Debbie Harry and Shirley Bassey becoming a great favourite with audiences.
In her first solo touring show performing as Dusty Springfield Katy will don the classic 60s dresses, fix her hair into a beehive and step out on stage to sing the favourites Son of a Preacher Man, I Only Want to be With You, You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me and much more. -- www.northdevontheatres.org.uk
