Triton Adventure
Daily, 11.00am, 1.00pm & 3.00pm
The year is 2373 and the inhabitants on Earth are desperate for a new home. Join the space-colonisation scientists on the spaceshuttle Australis for an adventure to Neptune’s largest Moon, Triton. Can we set up a space colony on this super cold world or should we continue on to Pluto? The fate of the humanity is in your hands at this fun interactive science show. Ages 6 and over.
Out-of-this-world dress-ups
Daily, 10.30am – 4.00pm
Camera alert! Dress up in your favourite STAR WARS, alien or astronaut costume and have your photo taken against an amazing space backdrop. Ages 8 and under.
Cogs Workshop
Daily, 11.00am – 3.00pm
A creative activity space with a distinctive STAR WARS twist. For kids under 8 who like to make-and-do.
Create a LEGO-scape
Daily, 10.30am – 4.00pm
The landscape is bare, barren and grey…using your creative LEGO building skills help turn this once desolate landscape into a thriving space colony. Ages 6 and over.
Create a STAR WARS World workshop
14 January 2009, 9.30am – 4.30pm
Join Powerhouse Museum curator and co-author of the STAR WARS Complete Locations book, Kerrie Dougherty in a hands-on workshop where you can create your very own STAR WARS world. Suitable for ages 12-16.
Jedi School
5 - 9, 12 - 16 or 19 - 23 January 2009, 10.00am – 4.00pm
Create your own characters inspired by the various worlds in the STAR WARS galaxy. Design and build your own lightsaber and choreograph battles between two opposing forces. Experiment with green-screen technology as you devise scenes for your characters in their new world. Suitable for ages 6-12. -- www.powerhousemuseum.com
