More than 2,100 tickets to the Dream Home raffle have been sold to date, in which the Grand Prize winner will have the choice of either a $1.2 Million Dream Home, located in the exclusive Griffin Ranch near PGA West in La Quinta, or $1,000,000 cash!
In addition to the Grand Prize, 100 mostly cash prizes totaling more than $125,000 will be awarded during the Raffle campaign which includes monthly bonus drawings. This month's drawing at Jensen's will include a First Prize of $10,000 cash, a Hawaiian vacation, and $3,000 in other cash prizes. For these prizes, the winner need not be present to win.
Jensen's is contributing additional prizes, for which the winner must have purchased a Raffle ticket and be present at the January 15th event to win, including an Ultimate Manilow Package, valued at $500 (featuring two tickets to the Barry Manilow show in Las Vegas and a one-night stay at the Las Vegas Hilton) and a Suzanne Somers Ultimate Gift Basket valued at approximately $500 (featuring her new book,EZ Gym, designer leather handbag, and assorted food and body products).
Also for those present who have also bought a ticket for the Dream Home raffle, Jensen's will be raffling off fine wine such as a liter of Miner Oracle Red (value $400), a 3 liter bottle of Melville Estate Pinot Noir (value $300), two 6-bottle Wine Connoisseur Baskets (value $200 each), a 1.5 liter of Frog's Leap 2001 Zinfandel (value $100) and a 1.5 liter Landmark Overlook Chardonnay 2006 ($60 value)
The ultimate Grand Prize Drawing will be conducted on April 18, 2009. Raffle tickets are $150 each. All raffle proceeds will go to DesertArc. Regardless of whether a ticket wins at a bonus drawing, all tickets will have a chance to win the Grand Prize.
The proceeds for the Dream Raffle will allow DesertArc to continue to enhance the quality of life for 600 people with developmental disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and other medical conditions.
DesertArc was originally established in 1959 with the name Foundation for the Retarded of the Desert. A year ago the name was changed to DesertArc to reflect a more modern name and the evolution of the agency's commitment to the community. -- www.desertarc.org
