During the pre-war years, Tex Beneke's artistry was an outstanding chapter in the Glenn Miller story. Taking over after Miller's death, the band became known as the Tex Beneke Orchestra and they continued to play the fabulous hits of the Glenn Miller era. The orchestra is under the direction of Jim Snodgrass who has toured with such performers as Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra.
The Four Lads have sold more than 50 million singles and albums in an amazing career that spans more than 40 years. From their first Gold record with "Istanbul," their winning vocal style has provided many wonderful "Moments to Remember." The Modernaires started with the Ted Fio Rito Orchestra, joined Paul Whiteman's weekly radio show, and with Glenn Miller's group, traveled the world many times over. The Modernaires with Paula Kelly Jr. were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
The Ink Spots played a large role in the vocal group harmony genre, and were one of the most popular groups of the 1930s and 40s. Their trademark style generated numerous hits, including "I'll Never Smile Again" and "I'll Get By." Peter Marshall has successfully conquered nearly every genre of the entertainment industry, and is perhaps best-known for hosting more than 5,000 episodes of "Hollywood Squares."
Peter hosted a series of shows for the Disney Channel, "Big Bands From Disneyland," and has produced and toured in numerous big band shows.
