Perhaps no vocalist of our time possesses a more exquisitely versatile instrument than baritone Jubilant Sykes. He brings a new dimension to the traditional career of the classically trained vocalist by drawing on gospel and jazz influences to deliver performances that often leave audiences and critics searching for new superlatives. His career has taken him to the Metropolitan Opera, the great music festivals of Europe and concert halls across the United States.

Jubilant Sykes has had the privilege of working with the world's finest conductors, symphonies and opera companies. His unique gifts have taken him from the Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and London's Barbican Centre to the Apollo Theater, Hollywood Bowl, New Orleans Jazz Festival, and hundreds of other major venues around the world. Certainly none of Jubilant Sykes' artistic partnerships has been any more special than with the legendary Christopher Parkening. This combination to these two great artists became an international concert favorite, culminating with the release of the CD Jubilation for EMI. -- www.mccallumtheatre.com
