Enjoy April Vacation At Worcester Museum

With April vacation just around the corner, many parents are searching for fun activities that will keep their children busy and their wallets happy. From April 21 through April 24, Worcester Art Museum will host ARTventures, two-hour workshops and extended day programs for youth between three and 17-years old. Workshop costs range between $20 and $26.

“For less than the price for a family of three to go to the movies, your child can explore more than 50 centuries of art and then create something of his or her very own,” said Honee A. Hess, WAM Director of Education.

Throughout the week, students will learn new art techniques and create art inspired by other cultures found in the Museum’s collection. ARTventures workshops cater to students of all ages, interests and abilities, including computer animation, two and three-dimensional drawing, medieval painting, Egyptian sculpture, architecture, story-telling, masquerade mask-making, photography, fashion design and journaling.

In addition to April vacation workshops, seasonal classes (spring and summer) are available for youth, teens and adults with ongoing registration. In addition, summer travel programs are offered for adults in Europe and North America. -- www.worcesterart.org
