Come over to play with the whole family at two special events at Strong National Museum of Play in May: Saturday Night Family Play Date: Butterfly Bonanza (May 2) and Wizard of Oz Weekend (May 16 and 17).

Butterfly Bonanza
Saturday, May 2 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Rejoice in the arrival of spring at Strong National Museum of Play! Meet the museum’s butterfly mascot—Marti the Monarch—?in person. Spend time with Strong’s Butterfly Guy and learn more about these flying friends and other multi-legged creatures of the season. Make butterfly crafts to take home. Listen to The Very Hungry Caterpillar and other bug stories.
Saturday Night Family Play Dates are presented the first Saturday of each month through June. All of the exhibits are open late every Saturday until 8:00 p.m., and the Food Court is open until 7:00 p.m. Mark your calendar for the final Play Date on June 6 (Summer Splash!).
Wizard of Oz Weekend
Saturday, May 16, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 17, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Follow the Yellow Brick Road to a celebration of the 100th anniversary of L. Frank Baum’s classic, The Wizard of Oz, at Strong National Museum of Play. Come dressed as your favorite character and meet Dorothy and other popular characters. Play a game of Pin the Heart on the Tin Man or make a twister in a bottle.
