Horsecross Theatre, Perth will play Tango Siempre as part of Perth Festival of the Arts on 21 May 09, at 7:30 p.m.
From virtuoso displays of traditional tango dance to the exquisite sounds of 1930’s Buenos Aires and the powerful Nuevo Tango music of Astor Piazzolla, Subitango is a breathtaking journey into the heart of Tango Argentino.
Subitango features two of the UK’s leading tango couples: Giraldo Escobar & Vicky Sierra and David Benitez & Kim Schwarz, with live music from Tango Siempre. Tango Siempre are the UK’s leading tango ensemble, described by the Sunday Times as "an effortless fusion of Latin Passion and jazz virtuosity".
The Subitango dancers have previously appeared in BBC Strictly Come Dancing, Tango Por Dos, the Channel 4 film Dance, Sally Potter’s Covent Garden production of Carmen and Madonna’s film Evita.
