Get into the music of Brahms with access to an London Symphony Orchestra rehearsal, insight from guest speakers and a chamber music session with LSO musicians.
Provisional schedule
10am-1pm: Open rehearsal at the Barbican (Sir Colin Davis / Nikolaj Znaider: Elgar Introduction and Allegro for Strings, Stravinsky Orpheus, Brahms Violin Concerto)
2.30-3.30pm: Talk - 'Brahms the traditionalist and progressive' with Robert Pascall (Professor of Music, Nottingham University) at LSO St Luke's
4-5.30pm: Rob Cowan (BBC Radio 3) presents a performance and discussion of Brahms Clarinet Trio with London Symphony Orchestra players Chi-Yu Mo (clarinet), Rebecca Gilliver (cello) and John Alley (piano) at LSO St Luke's -- www.lso.co.uk
