Rehearsals are now motoring along for Blackpool and Fylde Light Opera Company’s exciting production of Summer Holiday; however… the motor is still what is needed for the show, and the company are hoping you can help!
Do you have a Morris Minor 1000 convertible? Or a Mini Convertible? If you have, your car could be playing centre stage at the Grand Theatre from Tuesday 2nd to Saturday 6th June.
In the memorable musical, which originally starred Cliff Richard and Una Stubbs in the iconic 1963 movie and Darren Day on stage in the ’90s, includes a scene when the boys and girls meet for the first time in France… and this is when your car becomes a star.
But that’s not all! The Company is also looking for a Lambretta or Vespa Scooter… for the chase scene through Italy!
Summer Holiday from Blackpool and Fylde Light Opera Company is at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre from Tuesday 2nd June to Saturday 6th June with performances each evening at 7.30pm and a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. -- www.blackpoolgrand.co.uk
