Minneapolis Museum Displays 'Until Now'

Minneapolis Institute Of Arts will run an exhibition named 'Until Now: 50 Years, 50 Artists, 1960-2010' on view from Friday, February 19, 2010 to Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Target Gallery.

The Minneapolis Institute Of Arts embraces contemporary art in its first exhibition to survey international art from 1960 until now. This dynamic look at five decades of art-making will provide an overview of current developments around the globe.

Through the presentation of key works made during the past 50 years, including paintings, sculpture, installations, photography, graphic art, design, video, and other new media, the exhibition will build on the strengths of the museum's historical holdings while providing new insights and perspectives on the art of our times.

Works include loans from collectors, galleries, and artists, as well as pieces from the MIA's permanent collection. -- www.artsmia.org
