Perth Theatre Plays Beethoven

Horsecross Theatre, Perth will present Mitsuko Uchida playing Beethoven on 21 Sept. 09, at 7:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.

We're thrilled this internationally renowned pianist is returning to Perth for another Scottish exclusive, playing Beethoven's last 3 piano sonatas, Opus 109, 110, 111.

Beethoven was deaf by the time he wrote them, so they are very much music he heard in his mind and through the vibrations under his fingers only.

There is definitely something a little mad about them, but above all they are visionary, soul searching, 'blow you out of the water' kind of works. To hear all three in one sitting is very, very rare - especially by someone as famous as Mitsuko Uchida.
