Minneapolis Institute Of Arts will display Roxanne Jackson's sculptures - We Believe in Some Thing. The exhibition will run from Friday, August 28, 2009 to Sunday, November 1, 2009, at MAEP Galleries.
Roxanne Jackson’s sculptural installations explore the duality of human nature through the metamorphosis of humans and animals. Her installations are macabre scenarios of predator vs. prey, good vs. evil, instinct and survival.
Primarily a ceramicist, Jackson is experimenting with a variety of unconventional materials. The Minnesota Artist Exhibition Program (MAEP) is made possible by a generous grant from the Jerome Foundation.
