
Library Theatre, Manchester together with Border Crossings presents Re-Orientations, conceived and directed by Micheal Walling, running from 18th Feb 2010 to 27th Feb 2010.
Re-Orientations, the third part of groundbreaking theatre company Border Crossings’‘Orientations Trilogy’, is a visually stunning and spectacular feast to match the trilogy’s first two parts, Orientations and Dis-Orientations, which tackle issues of gender, sexuality and performance in mythic and contemporary Asia.
In creating the third part, Re-Orientations, receiving its world premiere production at the Library Theatre, Border Crossings complete their epic trilogy.
‘The Orientations Trilogy’ is produced in collaboration with the all-male company Yaksha Degula, Bangalore, India; Association << a fleur de peau>>, France; Teater Eksem, Sweden; and the all-female Shanghai Yue Opera Company, China; in association with The Library Theatre and The Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre, China.
‘The Orientations Trilogy’ is performed in English, Mandarin, Kannada and Hindi, with back-projected translation. -- www.librarytheatre.com
