Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is to be joined by four amazing singers at its huge ABBA Symphonic Spectacular in Meyrick Park on Saturday 8 August.
Included in the line up is Dean Collinson, most recently seen as Pharoah alongside Lee Mead ad Gareth Gates in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat; and Annie Skates, vocal coach to Simon Cowell’s team on The X Factor.
They are joined by Lance Ellington, often heard but seldom seen as the singer on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, and Emma Kershaw, whose West End shows include Les Miserables, Chess, Grease and most recently Fame. The concert is conducted by Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra favourite Pete Harrison.
Thanks to the recent success of the box office hit film Mamma Mia, the songs of ABBA have been given a new lease of life to both young and old, and the concert includes great selection of the most popular ABBA hits including: Money Money Money, Thank You for the Music and Dancing Queen, in an evening of singing, frolics and fun - with of course a fireworks finale to round off the evening. -- www.bsolive.com
