Best Selling Authors Speak At Tank Museum

Out of hours lectures graphicChris Ryan and Bernard Cornwell are amongst the speakers appearing at The Tank Museum as part of the 09/10 `Out Of Hours` series.

`Out Of Hours` is The Tank Museum’s programme of lectures, performances and talks, all of which take place on weekday evenings.

This year’s programme commences with `An Evening with Chris Ryan` on Thursday 10th September, in which the solider-turned author will recall his experiences as a member of the ill-fated SAS patrol that included fellow author Andy McNab.

Remembered as `The One That Got Away`, Ryan was the only man to evade capture and walk to freedom. Ryan has gone on to write a string of best selling novels and recollections of his service with the SAS, some of which he will share in `An Evening with Chris Ryan`.

On October 15th Bernard Cornwell, famed for his best selling historical novels, will be appearing at The Tank Museum to talk about his life as an author. His most celebrated series of books were set during the Napoleonic wars and became a successful ITV Drama propelling Sean Bean to fame. Now resident in the USA, this is a unique opportunity to meet the man who created Richard Sharpe and a host of other fictional characters. -- www.tankmuseum.org
