Fulton Opera Hosts Christina Bianco

Fulton Opera, Lancaster will host a performance of Christina Bianco on Friday, October 16, 2009, at 9PM.

Christina is currently rehearsing 'Maureen' in Rent at the Weston Playhouse, and was most recently seen in Forbidden Broadway Goes To Rehab at the 47th St theatre in NYC.

Christina has performed professionally since the age of 8, beginning with a concert at Broadway's Gershwin Theatre, starring children's singer Raffi. Classically trained at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Christina has performed in over 40 theatrical productions across the country.

Notably, she originated the role of Dora in the long-running national tour Dora The Explorer Live!, performing for families across the country, including an unprecedented sold-out run at Radio City Music Hall. She has sung back up for Deborah Cox, performed on The Today Show, The Jerry Lewis Telethon and star studded red carpet events at The Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

A regular fixture at New York City's cabaret rooms and band venues, she has performed at Lincoln Center, The Rainbow Room, The Kauffman Center, The Symphony Space, Don't Tell Mama's, The Bitter End, Sullivan Hall, & Kenny's Castaways to name a few. Christina currently sings to sell-out crowds with the 'New Orleans funk' style band, Brother Joscephus. She is also a lead female vocalist for the band Celebration with Jason-Craig Entertainment and sits in for jazz sessions with The Jack Clark Trio.

Christina works as a demo/jingle singer and can also be heard singing lead vocals on many Stage-Star Records instructional karaoke albums including The Little Mermaid (Ariel), Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Seussical (Mayzie), Oklahoma (Ado Annie), Into The Woods (Cinderella) and Les Miserables (Eponine).

She is always busy writing her ongoing cabaret about living "below the norm", called Five Feet Under. Her latest cabaret, Small Wonders has dates scheduled this March and April at the The Laurie Beechman Theatre. -- www.thefulton.org
