Canberra Theatre Presents Avenue Q

Canberra Theatre, together with Arts Asia Pacific in association with Power Arts, will present Avenue Q.

Avenue Q is a hilarious, feel-good musical performed by a wonderful mix of puppets and humans. Cross Sesame Street with the Muppet show, give it an X rating and slap on a health warning that too much laughter can make your sides ache, and you’ve got Avenue Q!

Winner of the three major Tony Awards, Avenue Q is now one of the longest running shows in Broadway’s history and is still a hit on London’s West End.

It’s the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad who comes to New York City with big dreams and a tiny bank account. He soon discovers that the only neighbourhood in his price range is Avenue Q and, well, the neighbours seem nice.

As part of a national tour, Avenue Q is about to leave Melbourne after a sell-out season and now Canberra audiences have the chance to see this heart-warming musical that is taking the world by storm... but remember this is not a show for the kids!
