Enjoy Beethoven With Utah Symphony

Utah Symphony, Salt Lake City will present an evening of Beethoven at Abravanel Hall conducted by Matthias Bamert, violin by Jennifer Frautschi.

Utah Symphony’s 2009-10 season begins with an all-Beethoven program featuring Beethoven’s lyrical and melodic Violin Concerto in D Major. Then experience his exhilarating and triumphant Symphony No. 5 - one of Beethoven’s most popular works.

Also on the program is the lesser-known but equally magnificent overture from Beethoven’s ballet about the shrewd and rebellious Greek god Prometheus.

Evening schedule is as follows:

Ludwig van Beethoven – Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus, op. 43
Ludwig van Beethoven – Concerto for Violin in D Major, op. 61
Ludwig van Beethoven – Symphony No. 5 in C Minor, op. 67
