Stoughton Opera Hosts Tom Wopat

Stoughton Opera, Wisconsin will present Tom Wopat coming home for the holidays on Friday, Dec 11, at 7:30 pm.

Multiple Tony Award nominee, Tom Wopat returns to the Stoughton Opera house just in time for the holidays, singing holiday favorites, old standards, and the best of Broadway. Wopat’s rich baritone and easy-going, soft-spoken manner brings new depth to favorite songs and show tunes; he even throws in some stories for good measure.

Wopat is a Broadway veteran of such shows as A Catered Affair, Chicago, Glengarry Glen Ross, 42nd Street, and Annie Get Your Gun. He is probably best known as Luke Duke on the iconic The Dukes of Hazzard. He has also guest starred on numerous other shows and movies. As a recording artist, Wopat has released ten albums, the most recent of which is Consider it Swung.

A Lodi native, Wopat has performed since he started in school musicals at the age of 12. He studied music at the University of Wisconsin in Madison before being cast in The Dukes of Hazzard. -- www.cityofstoughton.com
