The first woman ever to be named a “Guitar God” by Rolling Stone Magazine, Kaki King is one of the most in-demand guitarists today, captivating audiences and stealing the show at festivals from Bonnaroo to the Newport Folk Festival.
Her sonic style, a hybrid of rock and folk, is a mix of both instrumental and breathy vocals that showcase an impressive range of songwriting and technical guitar mastery.
Using a combination of fret-tapping, slap bass, percussive beats on the guitar, and unusual, but precise, tuning she has developed a distinctive sound that has garnered her and ever-increasing following and widespread critical acclaim.
