Fall in New England not only means cooler weather and colorful foliage, but also the arrival of thousands of college students! On Monday, September 21, 2009 from 4 to 10 p.m., new and returning college students are invited to invade Science Park and make their way to the thirteenth annual College Night at the Museum of Science, Boston.
Sponsored by Metro Boston, College Night 2009 welcomes students back to the city in style by offering free admission for a night of exhibits, laser shows, live programs, and more. In addition to touring the main Exhibit Halls, students can take in a live presentation at the Gordon Current Science and Technology Center and meet residents of the Museum's Live Animal Center.
They can also rock out to dazzling laser shows set to popular music in the Charles Hayden Planetarium or check out the Museum's newest 3-D film Planet You and swim with Sharks in the 3-D Digital Cinema. Students are additionally invited to travel to some of the farthest and most exotic corners of the Earth in the Mugar Omni Theater with Antarctica and Amazon, or experience the thrill of risk taking with Adrenaline Rush, all under New England’s only 180-degree IMAX Dome.
Students can also enter a free raffle to win prizes from Boston-area businesses including J.P. Licks, Improv Asylum, and Jillian's Boston.
For those looking to relax during the festivities, refreshments are available for purchase in the Museum's Riverview Cafe with food by Wolfgang Puck Catering. Music will be provided onsite by KISS 108-FM. -- www.mos.org
