Breakfast or lunch? Einstein Bros. offers $2 off both

Einstein Bros. Bagels recently announced 34 ways to save $2.

The bagel chain recently sent subscribers to its e-mail list coupons for $2 off all egg sandwiches and lunch sandwiches. In addition to this deal, Einstein Bros. is offering 25 percent off all first-time catering orders.

The egg sandwich deal includes all Sandwiches, Paninis, Wraps and Eggwhite Sandwiches. Are you a vegetarian who eats eggs and cheese? There are three options for you to try: the Spinach, Mushroom and Swiss Egg Sandwich; the Cheese Egg Sandwich; and the Asparagus, Mushroom and Swiss Eggwhite Sandwich. The coupon expires on December 4. If you're a fan of eggs, you won't want to miss this deal.

The lunch sandwich deal includes all Melts, Bagel Thin Sandwiches, Lunch Paninis, Signature Sandwiches, Deli Sandwiches, Wraps and the Pizza Bagels. If you're vegetarian, the Veg Out Signature Sandwich was designed with you in mind. The Cheese Pizza Bagel is also vegetarian. The Chicken Salad Deli Sandwich contains nuts, so allergy sufferers take note. The deal does not include the Bagel Dogs (bummer!), the Grilled Cheese Combo or the Salads. Worth it? Even without the Bagel Dogs, yes. The coupon expires on December 4.

The 25 percent off first-time catering orders is good for an online or telephone order. To order online, go to ebcatering.com. To order over the telephone, call 1-800-BAGEL-ME. There is a limit of one coupon per person. The coupon expires on December 27. Worth it? I would say yes even though I don't have any need for a caterer--25 percent off is always a good deal.

In addition to the regular menu, there are two holiday items available--the Cinnamon Toast Egg Panini and Cranberry Turkey Panini. According to Einstein Bros., the Cinnamon Toast Egg Panini is a mix of egg, bacon, melted cheddar cheese and a cinnamon-butter blend on a grilled Cinnamon Raisin Bagel. I've had it; it's worth trying. The Cranberry Turkey Panini contains turkey, house-made cranberry sauce, double-whipped plain shmear, melted Swiss and mozzarella cheeses, spinach and bacon on grilled Ciabatta bread. Sounds good, and I'm not a fan of turkey.

The coupons are valid only at participating locations and can not be combined with any other deal or discount.

Nutritional profiles for each food item (except the seasonal items) can be found on Einstein Bros.'s web site.
