Olive Garden offers gift card deal

At Olive Garden, you can give and receive, because for every $50 worth of gift cards you buy you'll receive one $10 gift card free.

"Give the gift that always brings people together," reads the Italian chain's web page.

The offer is valid from now until December 25. The free gift card must be used between January 1, 2014 and February 9, 2014. It is good for $10 off purchase of two adult entrees.

According to Olive Garden, gift cards can be bought online or sent through the mail. If you buy a gift card online, you can send it instantly through e-mail, record your own voice message and share your gift on Facebook. If you send it through the mail, you can choose from multiple designs, select a value of up to $250 and personalize the card carrier.

Adult entrees include Pizzas, Cucina Classica (Classic Recipes), Leggeri (Lighter Italian Fare), Pollo (Chicken), Pesce (Fish and Seafood), and Carne (Beef and Pork).

Pizzas include Create Your Own Pizza and Chicken Alfredo Pizza.

Classic Recipes include Lasagna Classico, Five Cheese Ziti al Forno, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Cheese Ravioli, Fettuccine Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiana, Ravioli di Portobello, Eggplant Parmigiana and Tour of Italy (lasagna, chicken parmigiana and fettuccine alfredo).

Lighter Italian Fare includes Venetian Apricot Chicken, Herb-Grilled Salmon, Capellini Pomodoro, Seafood Brodetto and Lasagna Primavera with Grilled Chicken. All these dishes have fewer than 575 calories.

Chicken dishes include Grilled Chicken Toscano, Moscato Peach Chicken, Stuffed Chicken Marsala, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Scampi, Chicken Alfredo and Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara.

Fish and Seafood dishes include Shrimp Mezzaluna, Baked Parmesan Shrimp, Spicy Shrimp Vesuvio, Seafood Alfredo, Parmesan Crusted Tilapia and Lobster Cannelloni with Shrimp.

Beef and Pork dishes include Mixed Grill (steak prepared medium unless otherwise requested), Grilled Sausage and Peppers Rustica, Grilled Pork Veneto, Steak Gorgonzola-Alfredo (prepared medium unless otherwise requested), Braised Beef and Tortelloni and Steak Toscano.

According to Olive Garden, e-Gift Cards are valid only in the U.S.
