
Join the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight for an evening of swing-style music as they present a concert titled "It Might As Well Be Swing" on March 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert is open to the public. No tickets are necessary, but seating is limited to the first 1,200 people.
Under the command of Lt. Col. Alan Sierichs, the band travels nearly 100,000 miles each year to present over 450 performances before military and civilian audiences. Since its founding in 1942, the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight has performed for presidents and vice presidents, visiting heads of state, cabinet officers, members of congress, U.S. and foreign military leaders, and millions of Americans and foreign citizens.
The National Museum of the United States Air Force is located on Springfield Pike, six miles northeast of downtown Dayton. It is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day). Admission and parking are free. -- www.nationalmuseum.af.mil
