At least 18 people have died after a suicide car bomb exploded at a book market in central Baghdad. Dozens more were injured.
Despite an increase of U.S. and Iraqi troops on the streets in an effort to stamp out sectarian violence, car bombings remain commonplace in Baghdad.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced today it had arrested the deputy leader of the Islamic State in Iraq, a Sunni militant movement linked to Al-Qaeda.
