
PowerScribe Incorporates New Library of Radiology Report Templates Designed for Speech Users
Nuance Communications, Inc., a leading provider of speech and imaging solutions, today announced an agreement with StructuRad LLC, the innovator in low-cost radiology supporting solutions, to make StructuRad reporting tools, including macros and templates, available for Dictaphone® PowerScribe®, the leading speech recognition solution for radiology. This agreement enables PowerScribe users to create reports by voice even more quickly by leveraging StructuRad's macro library, a quick and convenient way to set up the reporting user interface to speed up the reporting process.
StructuRad macros provide a library of normal and abnormal report templates derived from its proprietary radiology knowledge base. As part of this agreement with Nuance, the customized StructuRad macro library will be sold as an add-on product to PowerScribe. The macro library of report templates has been created to utilize PowerScribe's voice edit features and will permit PowerScribe users to create reports by calling up a macro and making simple edits.
