Medical Intelligence Intends Partnership With France Telecom

Medical Intelligence Technologies Inc. announces it has signed a letter of intent with France Telecom, initiating discussions to establish a global strategic partnership leading to the commercialization of the Columba service that prevents wandering by Alzheimer patients.

The service relies on the Columba bracelet developed by Medical Intelligence and the services provided jointly with France Telecom under its brand Orange. France's institutional and consumer markets are both covered by this draft agreement.

Under the terms of the letter of intent, France Telecom is to place firm orders for Columba bracelets, and the target for this commercialization effort is to sell several thousands Columba units.

The parties will also discuss potential European expansion of the geographic area covered in the draft agreement.

"Since the Columba bracelet was introduced to France's consumer market, governments and institutions have shown an increasing level of interest in our product," declared Louis Massicotte, President of Medical Intelligence. "At this stage of our Company's evolution, it is mutually beneficial to rally our sales force with that of France Telecom to efficiently meet market demand. In France alone, more than a million people are stricken with cognitive impairment and are forced to remain home due to insufficient space in
retirement communities." -- www.cnxmarketlink.com
