Green Bay Symphony Features Pianist In Up Close & Personal

The public is invited to get "Up Close & Personal" with Arthur Cohrs, pianist, on Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the Neville Theater at the Neville Public Museum. Up Close & Personal is a series designed to give the public an opportunity to become familiar with the lives and talents of professional musicians in an enjoyable, intimate setting. Arthur has been a fixture in Green Bay music scenes for over 40 years.

He retired in 2000 from the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay, where he taught piano, music theory and literature, music appreciation, and related arts classes. He also served as chairman of Music and Communication and the Arts.

The afternoon will feature Arthur as he performs pieces by Paderewski, Soler, Copland and Liszt. You'll learn a bit about the musician, the composers, and the music. His performance will be followed by casual conversation about himself and the instrument he plays, and all audience members are encouraged to ask questions. This program is intended for people of all musical experience levels. -- www.greenbaysymphony.org
