There's a fabulous opportunity to meet the staff of the Grand Theatre Academy and sample some of its work with an exciting Open Day on Saturday 24th March in the Lawrence House Studio from 12 to 4pm. And you'll have fun!
The Grand Theatre Academy is a school for the development of performance skills. Sessions focus on exploring acting techniques through a range of activities and workshops, as well as devised and scripted performances. The ethos of the Academy is to treat all members as individuals, in an attempt to develop the skills of each member.
Academy Director and actor Paul David-Gough will be supervising all events during the day along with some of the Academy's associate artistes. And you'll also get the chance to tour the theatre!
Paul says: "The Open Day on 24th March provides people with an opportunity to come along and sample the work of the Grand Theatre Academy, free of charge, and also to meet some of the staff who work with the Academy members. As well as running a few workshops and a theatre tour, we'll be on hand to answer questions and meet the parents of prospective new members, but we would encourage anyone who is interested in coming along to bring their parents too"Â.
