In conjunction with Canada Under Attack: The Battle of the St. Lawrence (1942-1944), the Canadian War Museum is offering the last of its popular Walk & Talk expert tours for this exhibition. Visitors will have an opportunity to tour the exhibition with Dr. Jeff Noakes, the War Museum's Second World War historian.
About the exhibition:
In the middle of the Second World War, a German submarine sinks a Canadian ship. But the attack does not occur in the mid-Atlantic, or along the shores of Europe. It happens here, in the heart of Canada's Gulf of St. Lawrence. Over a period of two years, German U-Boats will infest the River and the Gulf, sinking more than 20 ships. Witness their impact on Canada's small East Coast communities. The war is on their doorstep.
The exhibition Canada Under Attack: Walk & Talk our with Dr. Jeff Noakes will take place on Sunday, March 25 at 3 p.m. in English and 1 p.m. in French.
All tours are free with admission, but are limited to 25 participants. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the event. The exhibition runs until Monday, April 9 2007. -- www.civilization.ca
