CSC Resumes Work On $628 Millions

Computer Sciences Corporation announced today that it has resumed work on the $628 million U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Combat Support System task order previously awarded and announced in September 2006

In addition, the company will expand into a new facility in Greene County, Ohio.

Following a competitor protest, the Government Accountability Office upheld the Air Force's selection of CSC to provide a full range of information technology (IT) services to help the Air Force transform its global supply chain. Services include logistics business process redesign and a commercial off-the-shelf enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation. CSC's work will be managed by the ECSS Program Office in the 754th Electronic Systems Group in collaboration with the Pentagon's Air Force Logistics Transformation Office at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

CSC worked closely with the Ohio Department of Development and community leaders in the Dayton area to find a location to support this effort. CSC will bring more than 400 new full-time jobs to Greene County. Currently, there are already more than 200 employees in another facility in Greene County supporting other ongoing CSC work with the Air Force.

"I would like to thank CSC for its commitment to Ohio and for bringing highly desired, knowledge-based IT jobs to our great state, and, specifically, the Dayton region, which stands to gain significantly from the high tech jobs coming to the area," said Lt. Governor Lee Fisher, who also serves as director of the Ohio Department of Development.

"CSC and its team members are eager to bring world-class supply chain expertise, diverse experience in business transformation and rich history implementing ERP systems to this important engagement," said James W. Sheaffer, president of CSC's Federal Sector business unit. "There is a tremendous talent pool of professionals in the Dayton region and we are delighted to work with state officials to expand CSC's footprint and provide high quality employment opportunities. We value the confidence the Air Force has placed in CSC and are committed to delivering significant operational results" - CSC.
