The company was recognized for its efforts supplying Intel with high-performance analog and logic products. TI and 43 additional PQS award winners will be honored at a celebration in Burlingame, California, on March 27.
"TI is extremely pleased to be recognized as one of Intel's top performing suppliers," said Dave Heacock, vice president at Texas Instruments. "TI strives to provide its customers with the best support possible, whether that is through innovative high-performance analog and logic products, on-time delivery or local technical support. We are honored to be a valued supplier to Intel."
"TI has developed custom high performance analog solutions for our current and future programs. They have provided superior quality, pricing and availability to meet our needs," said Jeff Citta, director of Operations, Mobile Wireless Group, Intel Corporation.
The PQS award is part of Intel's Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) process that encourages suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for PQS status, suppliers must score 80 percent on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, delivery, technology and responsiveness goals. Suppliers must also manage and deliver on a challenging improvement plan and a quality systems assessment - Texas Instruments.
