TiVo commissioned a survey through top poll company Synovate to find out what moments Americans remember as the TV highlights of 2006.

The survey was conducted by Synovate eNation omnibus and was based on a minimum of 1,000 adults 18 years of age or older in the U.S. The sample consists of individuals selected from the online segment of Synovate's Consumer Opinion Panel, and is balanced to be representative of the general population based upon region, gender, age, and household income data from the U.S. Census Bureau. The selected individuals received a customized e-mail inviting them to participate. Individuals were re-screened at the beginning of the survey to ensure that quotas were accurate.
