AT&T Announces New Contract with Diamond Companies

AT&T Inc. today announced a new contract to upgrade the data network for Diamond Companies, Inc., a transportation services company that provides new and used truck sales, lease, rental, parts, mechanical service, contract maintenance and body shop repairs. Diamond Companies operates 15 dealerships, serving 11 cities in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Tennessee.

Under the terms of the contract, AT&T will be the primary service provider for Diamond Companies, providing Managed Internet Service (MIS), a dedicated Internet connection that supports constant and secure real-time access to the Internet across the network. AT&T MIS will give Diamond Companies the flexibility to expand network bandwidth when additional capacity is needed, while incorporating convenience, resources and flexibility in a completely vendor-provided Internet solution.

"We needed a fully meshed network with the redundancy and reliability to protect file transfers while also providing us with opportunities to do more for our customers," said Andy Cain, IT supervisor for Diamond Companies. "The networking solution and management provided by AT&T will enhance our IT operations and maximize our customer service capabilities."

AT&T's MIS solution for Diamond Companies will help improve all data communications between locations on the company's existing network platform. By managing the routers and providing other MIS services, AT&T will ensure fast, flexible and secure access to all of Diamond Companies' locations. This enhanced service will improve the company's ability to respond to customer needs, whether it is shipping parts or checking availability of vehicles across all dealerships - AT&T.
