You should only share your Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection ID, Wii number or friend code with people that you know and via a private means of communication such as email or telephone, rather than through a public forum.
Remember to NEVER reveal any personal information in chat groups or forums.
At Nintendo we find it important that your friend list contains people you know personally. Just imagine that you shared your friend code for Animal Crossing: Wild World on the Internet, and a stranger walks into your town to mess up the fruits of your labour! That's why friend codes are intended for people you know you can trust, so a safe online experience is ensured - Nintendo.
