
Kansas University's Department of Music and Dance in the School of Fine Arts is pleased to present Joy of Singing, an annual event that features all twelve KU choirs. The spring concert is sponsored by the KU Choral Society/KUCS.
This year's program will feature all KU choral ensembles including the Oread Singers, the Men and Women's Glee groups, the World Music Choir, Ad Astra Singers, Women's Chorale, the Chamber Choir, Collegium Musicum, the University Singers, Genuine Imitation, Women's Vocal Jazz and the Concert Choir.
The groups will perform pieces by Mozart, Franz Biebel, Mendelssohn, Edwin Fissinger, and more. The program will also feature a visiting group, the Olathe South Madrigal Singers, directed by Dr. Dwayne Dunn.
Joy of Singing takes place at the Lied Center of Kansas on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $7 and students and senior citizen tickets are $5. -- www2.ku.edu
