Mentor Graphics Nucleus USB Software Receives High-Speed, On-The-Go Certification

Mentor Graphics Corporation today announced the Nucleus USB software has received high-speed, on-the-go (OTG) certification by the USB Implementers Forum, Inc. Obtaining the most stringent of certifications, the Nucleus USB solution is now USB-IF compliant at high-speed, full-speed, OTG, or function derivations, allowing developers to easily facilitate certification of their own Nucleus USB-based applications.

The Nucleus USB software was tested and certified using the Mentor IP division's USB 2.0 multi-point, high-speed OTG controller, and subsequently granted use of the USB logo by the USB-IF. The rigorous testing assures developers that their Nucleus-based applications will pass USB-IF certification allowing them use of the USB logo on their products.

"Through the Nucleus software, we constantly strive to provide the best operating system solution for the embedded industry. We see USB as a key module within that solution," said Syed Gilani, director of marketing, Embedded Systems Division, Mentor Graphics. "We can now add high-speed OTG certification to our long list of USB accomplishments. These accomplishments also include the broadest support of class driver standards and software drivers for a wide selection of hardware."
