The Marvell 88W8688 delivers WLAN and Bluetooth in a small footprint, ultra-low-power single die that provides extended battery life in cell phones, converged devices, gaming devices and consoles, portable media players, and other applications requiring short- and long-range connectivity. The next-generation Bluetooth core specification provides an enhanced data rate of up to 3.0 megabits per second (Mbps), providing transmission speeds that are three to ten times faster than version 1.2.
