Joseph Cast Are Opening The Door To Young Talent At Blackpool's Grand Theatre

Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's sparkling family musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat explodes into life at Blackpool's Grand Theatre from Monday 7 May as part of its UK tour.

And in the spirit of BBC1's talent search show Any Dream Will Do to find a new Joseph for the starring role, local young hopefuls are being invited to audition for a part in the chorus in front of the hit musical's casting directors (and a surprise judge!) at the Lawrence House Studio at the Grand Theatre on Tuesday 1 May from 3.30pm.

The judges are searching for a boy and a girl aged 7 to 10 years old, who measure up to 4ft 10in, to join the liveliest, most energetic company of actors, singers and dancers you'll ever see, for a special one off performance live on stage with the company at the Grand Theatre. You don't need to have any previous theatrical experience - just be enthusiastic and keen to have fun!

You will need to bring ONE responsible parent or guardian with you. The auditions will take place in groups and timeslots will be allocated on arrival. At 5.45pm the judges will retire to select the finalists who will be called forward to perform again.

You will not be required to prepare anything, but should arrive dressed appropriately and ready to read a short section of script and sing a short song of choice.
