Following the huge success of his 2006 performance at Blackpool's Grand Theatre, the master of psychological illusion returns to the Grand to kick off the UK tour of his brand new show Derren Brown Live 2007. And it promises to be as shocking and dramatic as ever.
Derren will once again demonstrate why he is one of the country's most revered live performers; a master of magic, mind control and psychological illusion. He says: "Although I can't reveal much at this stage, I can say that this show will be dark, full of surprises, and hopefully both entertaining and thought-provoking". Derren also confirmed that there'll be plenty of audience participation.
On stage and well as on TV Derren Brown is in a class of his own, exhilarating audiences with his unique brand of intelligent and theatrical entertainment. His Mind Control and Trick of the Mind TV programmes have garnered rave reviews and award nominations and in 2003 Derren won The Silver Rose in the Variety Category at Rose d'Or, Montreux. His productions have provoked much debate and further consolidated his reputation as a performer prepared to constantly challenge and break boundaries.
He has also received much praise for his book Tricks of the Mind which entered the best-selling charts at the end of 2006 and the specially televised version of Something Wicked This Way Comes screened in December 2006.
In Spring 2007 he returns to Channel 4 with a new 6 part series Trick or Treat.
