Chinese Vice Premier stresses information security

Entitled "Information Security: China and the World", the two-day seminar was hosted by the China Institute for International Strategic Studies (CIISS) and Michael Eric Bosman Hotung Foundation.

Zeng said that as China's information industry develops, information security problems have become outstanding.

China would like to contribute to a stronger global information security system, he said.

Zeng expected the seminar to explore legal and technological ways to improve information security.

Officials from China's information industry and economic planning bodies took part in the seminar which drew foreign attendees from 12 countries. SOURCE: Government of China
