The Muslim League for Accountability (MULAC) and Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) have already joined other human rights groups to reject the results of the April polls in Nigeria.

At a press a world press conference in Abuja, they noted the irregularities in the elections. There were lack of secrecy in balloting; underage voting, non inclusion of pictures and/or names of candidates on the ballot paper, missing logos of opposition parties on the ballot paper, alleged partisanship of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), snatching of ballot boxes and papers, intimidation of voters and the loss of so many lives.
