Tekelec and COLT Sign Pan-European VoIP Monitoring Deal

Tekelec's VoIP services solution is part of its Integrated Applications Solutions (IAS) suite, which provides operators with an in-depth understanding of their networks and equips them with the tools required to make informed business investment and cost-reduction decisions. COLT already has installed Tekelec's IAS solution for signaling system 7 (SS7) networks and now has expanded the IAS solution to support the service provider's growing portfolio of IP-based services, including COLT Total and COLT IP Voice.

The implementation will result in support for end-to-end call tracing across time division multiplexer/multiplexing (TDM) and IP networks, ensuring optimum quality of service levels for COLT's business customers. For example, a call that starts in a TDM network, goes through an IP network and comes back to a TDM network can be traced entirely using Tekelec's VoIP monitoring solution.
