David Cameron Supports Autism Sunday

Leading British politician David Cameron MP who is the Leader of Her Majesty's Opposition has given his full support for Autism Sunday which falls on 8th February. Mr.Cameron joins MPs of all parties who are supporting the International Day of Prayer for Autism and Asperger's Syndrome.

David Cameron said: ‘I would lke to express my support for Autism Sunday. As many as one in a hundred people could be affected by some form of autism, and it is important that we recognise and raise awareness of the difficulties and challenges that they can face.’

Autism Sunday was launched in 2002 by British autism adocates and caregivers Ivan and Charika Corea who launched the day with a ground breaking service at St.Paul's Cathdral in London.

Since then Autism Sunday has grown into a huge movement across many nations. The organisers of Autism Sunday have urged parents and caregivers to use the day to lobby and campaign on the serious health and education issues connected with autism and Asperger's Syndrome. Cathedrals, Churches and religious organisations are praying for over 60 million people with autism around the world.
