
Google combines its search results in one single page. Search results will open all together - videos, images, news, maps, books, web sites.
The new Google search is called "Universal Search" and is the combination of all Google's search features. It also will enable real time ranking and comparing of search results.
"It's breaking down the silos of information that have been built up. It's a broad, long-term vision that will unfold over the next few years," said Marissa Mayer, vice president of search and user experience. "We are really excited about what Universal Search could evolve to in the future."
"Universal Search" will enable translation for internet users from different countries. Translated results will open even new search results related to the translated ones.
The new Google will also have easy to use navigation bar on top of every Google page, so that users will be able to jump from search results page to Gmail, to calendar, and so on.
Google didn't yet announce how it will charge for ads that appear on search pages. But we now, that these ads brought the half of last year's $10.6 billion revenue.
"For us, ads are (search) answers as well. I would hope that we can bring some of these same advances, in terms of richness of media, to ads," Mayer said.
