Ronaldinho won't play at this year's Copa America

FC Barcelona midfielder Ronaldinho will not play at this year's Copa America. Barcelona said on its Web site that Ronaldinho sent a letter to Brazil's soccer confederation informing coach Dunga that the he would not be available for the tournament in Venezuela.

The statement said Ronaldinho wanted to take a break from playing after the long Spanish league season.

"In recent years, Ronaldinho's willingness to travel extensive distances at all times of the year to play for his country has had a knock-on effect to his fitness," Barcelona said Wednesday.

AC Milan midfielder Kaka said he doesn't want to play for Brazil at the Copa America due to tiredness.

The Copa America is set for June 26-July 15. Dunga is due to announce Brazil's roster on May 17. - Pravda.ru
