Shrek: Being A King Is Not That Easy For An Orge

Shrek 3 is released and it brought some troubles to the green orge. In this part Shrek doesn't have to struggle with a dragon and to rescue a princess, he must make a career decision whether to become a kind or not.

On his deathbed the king (voice of John Cleese) said, that Shrek is heir to the throne. Heir is also useless Artie (voice of Justin Timberlake). But Shrek is not willing to be a king, he prefers to go back to swamp. Since Fiona is a princess, she doesn't want to go to orge's dirty swamp.

All three parts of Shrek are full of amazing transformations and strange couples. In the first part Fiona is a princess in the daytime and an orge at night, who turns into a permanent orge after Shrek's kiss. In the second part the king appears to be a frog. And how could the human queen (voice of Julie Andrews) and the frog king give birth of half a human and half an orge? Donkey's and dragon's love couple in the first part is also very strange.

Donkey (voice of Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (voice of Antonio Banderas) don't actually foreground in Shrek 3. The only thing they do in this part is changing their bodies and talking with each other's voices. They both sail with Shrek and Fiona to Worcestershire to find Artie. On their way to Worcestershire they accidentally meet Prince Charming (voice of Rupert Everett) reduced from princehood and a strange team of royal personages Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty.

Gingerbread Man and the Three Blind Mice are also acting in this part. But they don't actually do anything, just fulfilling the movie with four more characters.

Shrek 3 looks as fascinating and colorful as its first and second parts, but it lacks in subject. Co-directors Chris Miller and Raman Hui have spent lots of money on effects, but the main topic of the movie is out of focus, and the movie itself is not that comic as the previous ones. The movie is full of characters and effects, and it is not easy to concentrate on the topic of the movie.

The green ogre (voice of Mike Myers) does less heroic actions and spends too much time with his bride Fiona (voice of Cameron Diaz) on tearful conversations about fatherhood. Kids are interested in dragons and heroes, but not in family dramas. But it is still fun to watch Shrek 3 at least for its rich and colorful animation.
